Perfluorooctyl sulfonyl fluoride and its derivatives (PFOS & PFOA) are produced by electrolytic fluorination method, referred to as C8, are totally prohibited from production and use because of their non-degradation, bioaccumulation and various toxicities in the environment and organisms.
Perfluorohexyl ethyl fluorinated surfactants produced by telomerization without PFOS & PFOA are substitutes for C8 products.
